Another momma and baby down the road

An extra set of legs shows that the other lamb is behind mom. The two new sets of twins have one brown lamb in each set. I think that is rather unusual. When I first saw them at a day old, they were half the size of the ones born a couple of weeks ago. Now they are catching up.

Charged

I was particularly glad of the barbed wire fence as, after the ewes demonstrated their reluctance to have their lambs' photos taken by moving toward the far side of the pasture, they apparently informed the longhorn with whom they share the pasture, who promptly charged across to suggest that I go home.

I may make an attempt at better lamb pictures tomorrow--depending on the mood of the cow.

Come on down for a visit...

There are more new lambs in the pasture down the road. I did not walk down there to take their picture yet, but will make a point of doing so tomorrow.

Recent photos from Mt. Rainier notwithstanding, we have not seen sky in the Valley for several weeks. It has returned. Though looking the other direction there is fog in the hopyard.
