The Phantom Ship is an island in Crater Lake.

This is a "fin" on the rim of the Crater Lake caldera. Harder volcanic rock that did not erode away when Mt. Mazama collapsed in on itself.

Looking for America

There is something about county courthouses in small rural counties that says America as much as apple pie and Mom. When I stopped to take the picture, Simon and Garfunkel were singing that they had "come to look for America." When I mentioned that in my "I'm home safe" e-mail to the group I spent the weekend with, one of them responded "Simon and Garfunkel were playing in Dayton? How did we miss them?"

I'm Baaaaaaack!!

I know I have not posted here for a long long time. But in the last two weeks I have had the opportunity to take enough pictures to fill this blog for quite a while. My first for today--Look what my rose bushes have done while I've been gone.

 Now I have the task of figuring out how to present the rest of the photos from near and far. There are about 400 to choose from.
